About the Author

Dr Sindiwe Magona: motivational speaker, author, poet, playwright, story-teller,
and actor recently relocated to her home country, South Africa, after a successful
career spanning more than two decades at UN Headquarters, New York, USA. Some of
her books includes, To My Children’s Children, Forced to Grow, Mother to Mother,
Beauty’s Gift, Ithini na iminwe? Mna noSana, UHagwana onesikrokro, UNkosazana noYolisa,
Vukani! Awam Ngqo etc.
Magona is the authorized biographer of Anglican Archbishop Njongonkulu Ndungane.
Some of the awards she got was the MOLTENO MEDAL GOLD – for lifetime achievements
in the preservation and promotion of the Xhosa language and culture, Literary Lifetime
Achievement Award for lifetime dedication to African and literary arts by SALA,
The White Ribbon Award for Beauty’s Gift and Xhosa Heroes Award from the Xhosa Forum
in Western Cape. |
